Wrecked

”Look at that, can you believe it? Trash everywhere. It looks like a horde of barbarians ran through and wrecked everything. What has the world come to?”

“Don’t you think you exaggerate?”

“No, I don’t. That’s what you get for letting them party in the barn. Jennifer had better come down and start cleaning up RIGHT NOW!”

“She’ll still be asleep.”

“I don’t care… Jennifer! Come down at once! JENNIFER!”

“What’s that in the corner? Looks like someone fell asleep there. Hey, wake up! What the…? Oh no… Martha, don’t look. Don’t look!”

“What? Why? Oh… NO! Jennifer… NOOOOO! JENNIFER!”

(100 words)

Third time in a row I start a story with ‘Look’… I should mend my ways.

      1. I love that. And since I just finished Midnight Mass… I chose to think she has become something else and is not just dead in a corner. You don’t do simple 😉

  1. You have no idea how accurate your first paragraph is.
Fun story, but if anyone were lying around today, they’d be long gone from heat stroke. It’s like Hippie Hollow out there. 🙂
