Review January, Plans for Fabruary(TM) 2022

Edit: Hahahha, I can’t believe I wrote Fabuary. In the title, no less. I’ll leave it there in the hopes that Febuary really turns out fab. 🙂

Stardate 2222

My plans for January were modest: work on, and if possible, finish the outline for a new project that’s running around in my head.

What did I do? I wrote about 10 sentences of outline and the rest was spent with thinking about plot and looking at maps. I have a better idea of the world-to-perhaps-be now, but I need to make maps, and for that I have to decide on some details. And of course it should make some sense. But that’s about it.

And somehow I lost my mojo for the flashfic challenges. I managed to go through with the Friday Fictioneers, but neglected Crispina’s CCC and Sammi’s WWP I wanted to do regularly. And I’m not exactly bursting with ideas for the FF either.

Maybe I need a break, but I’m a bit worried that this then would be a very long break. Last time I disappeared for a year, don’t want to do this again.

And that’s the reason why I won’t make ambitious plans for February. I’ll participate in flashfic challenges if ideas come. Work on the outline. Make maps. Find names for the characters… but I won’t set a word- or hour goal. The plan is to work on the project, nothing more.

Project 10K (P10K) December 2021 and Plans for January 2022

Happy New Year everyone!

May this be a year where hopes come true, and where reason and good will wins over ignorance, madness, lies and hatred again.

This is the last P10K post and a wind up for December. In the future I’ll just post my own writing-related plans for the month and a review of the past month. I don’t know about you, dear reader, but doing this helps me to stay focused and not give up writing-related activities because life is too busy. That’s why I’ll also keep my word/hour count widget in the side bar. I won’t post banners any more though. Anyway, onwards with the December wind-up.

Here are our standard questions:

Do you need a little incentive for writing more regularly? Then this project is for you.

  1. Did you meet your writing/editing goals?
  2. Did you have fun writing?
  3. Did the P10K help with motivation?
  4. What are your plans for next month?
  5. Anything else you want to tell us, questions you want to ask?

Project 10K (P10K) November 2021

December has arrived and with it the last P10K post of the year. There will be one more post like this in January, for December, and then I’ll stop this version since no one else seems to participate anyway. Since I do like to take stock of my writing plans, I’ll probably adjust this to a more general personal ‘plans for the month’ post which then will be posted at the beginning of each month, and not for the month that has just passed. Do I make banners for myself? Maybe… Can others participate/copy if they want to? Of course…

Now back to this challenge: How was your November? Did you find the time to write, to meet your goals? Tell us all about it.

Project 10K (P10K) October 2021

November. The year is almost over. To those of you who participate in NaNoWriMo: Good Luck and enjoy the fun. I envy you in a way, because I like the atmosphere, but I’ve learned that for me, writing so much in such a short time is not good. I think about maybe joining the Camp in April again, because there you can set your own goals. Like you can here… 🙂

How was your October? Did you find the time to write, to meet your goals? Tell us all about it.

Project 10K (P10K) April 2021

April has gone and May has arrived and where I live it is rainging and rather cold. Which is good, we need the water. Several years in a row now it hardly ever rained during the winter and if it did, it was a downpour (meaning that the water flushes off quickly and doesn’t have a chance to get into the ground) or a slight drizzle that hardly got the surface wet. We didn’t have much snow either. So, the rain is nothing to complain about, really.
